This was a gorgeous project from start to finish. The client came to us with a clear vision, they wanted something timeless, something that would hold its own against the rest of the kitchen without needing to shout for attention. After a good conversation about the space, the layout, and the kind of feel they were going for, Calacatta Marble was the obvious answer.
KML handled the full supply and installation throughout the property. Every slab was carefully selected and templated on-site to make sure the veining ran in a way that felt natural and intentional across the worktop surface. The result speaks for itself.
Calacatta Marble
Calacatta Marble is quarried in the mountains of Carrara in northern Italy and has been a benchmark of quality in interior design for centuries. What sets it apart from other white marbles is the boldness of the veining, the lines are broader, more dramatic, and often carry warm gold and beige tones alongside the grey.
For this project, the 20mm thickness gave the worktops a sleek, contemporary profile without feeling thin or lightweight. Paired with the rest of the kitchen scheme, the stone brought a sense of warmth and luxury to the space that simply wouldn’t have come from a man-made alternative.
