Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold is a white quartz worktop with bold gold and grey veining, designed by Cosentino to replicate Calacatta Gold marble in a durable, non-porous surface. Supplied by KML Worktops in 20mm and 30mm, it’s a popular choice for statement islands where a natural-stone look is wanted without the sealing and staining risk of real marble.
Being a non-porous quartz, it resists staining from wine, oil, coffee and acidic foods without any sealing, and stands up well to scratching from normal kitchen use. Everyday hob heat is fine, but as with all resin-bound quartz worktops, we recommend a trivet for pans taken directly off a high flame, since sustained extreme heat can affect the resin binder.
The veining on Eternal Calacatta Gold is intentionally bolder and more golden-toned than Silestone’s paler options like Lagoon or Snowy Ibiza, closely following the dramatic, sweeping veins associated with genuine Calacatta Gold marble. Because the pattern is engineered rather than random, it’s more predictable slab to slab than natural stone, which helps when matching an island to a run of worktop.
We template digitally on-site and fabricate the slab in-house, taking care to plan cut-outs and any joins around the veining so the pattern reads as continuously as possible across the finished worktop, particularly important on a strongly veined design like this one.
Clean with warm water and washing-up liquid or a dedicated quartz cleaner; no sealing needed. Avoid oven cleaners, bleach and abrasive scourers, which can dull the polished finish over time.
Yes, as a non-porous engineered quartz, it resists stains and scratches well and needs no sealing, making it practical for daily family use despite its dramatic look.
No, its non-porous quartz surface resists staining from typical kitchen spills, including wine, oil and coffee.
It handles everyday hob and pan heat well, but as with any resin-bound quartz, we recommend a trivet for very hot cookware to protect the surface long-term.
We supply Eternal Calacatta Gold in 20mm and 30mm.
Both mimic Calacatta-style marble, but Eternal Calacatta Gold is a resin-bound quartz with bolder gold veining, while Neolith Calacatta is a resin-free sintered stone with cooler grey veining and higher heat/UV tolerance.
